Girl behind it all

Welcome! My name is Belinda Lo and this blog channels my long time repressed love for sweets, cake, bread and all things about eating. I love Gloomy Bears, coffee and the occasional pop culture/trash magazine read. My music collection is detected to 90’ and my house is less than perfect (no IKEA styled set out here).

You can find me in the same outfit of trainers and gym shorts, most likely to cooking up something in the kitchen. I have always been able to cook; it is natural ability inherited from my mum and sisters however only in 2010 did come back to life.

Since then I have collected my fair share of wooden spoons, cook books and loose recipes cards. As a result of mounting pressure from family and upon discovering the online food world, I picked up my first DSLR Nikon in 2012 and began to take pictures of my baking creations. I am glad they pushed me because I have found a community and worldwide base of people who love baking as much as me!

The MoonBlush Baker has grown to be more than just a dessert/cake/bread food blog. Here you can find more than just a recipe and few pictures; but the lifestyle musings of the unconventional mind. You can be assured I will never just post a recipe with a wildly hunger inducing description, I believe that every recipe has a story whether it is inspiring, sad or even stupid.

So come, one and all, if you have rumble in your belly; I can fix that with a warming story and a recipe you be glad you came across in gluttonous greed. You can drop me a line anytime at my contact page. I am always here to listen.

    Hey there! Ive only just stumbled upon your blog and I’m loving it! Love how in the age of everyones over healthiness you’re not afraid to make something truly beautiful, buttery and just overall decadent! If your going to eat sweets you may as well go the whole way and well you have and I’m loving that! As a fellow foodie and baker I’m am so inspired by your incredible creations and your wonderful food styling and photography! Cant wait to try some of your recipes!!
